Throughout the years, a number of education videos were made to help young people and adults alike understand puberty, pregnancy, and what was considered “appropriate” expressions of one’s sexuality. The general consensus from the 1930s to the early 1960s was that people needed to think rationally, suppress their natural urges, and think of love as mainly a way to make children. It wasn’t until the late 1960s and early 1970s that media began to push for sexual liberation.
